Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

CV Service is operated by Bhan AS (org.nr. 936 333 982), a company registered in Norway. By accessing or using CV Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

2. Description of Service

CV Service is a web-based platform that allows you to create, edit, translate, and export professional CVs and resumes. The service includes AI-powered features for content enhancement and translation.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use this service
  • One person may not maintain more than one account

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts
  • Use automated tools to access the service (bots, scrapers)
  • Abuse the AI features to circumvent rate limits
  • Share false or misleading information in your CVs (misrepresentation)

5. Your Content

Ownership

You retain full ownership of all content you create or upload to CV Service, including your CVs, personal information, and any other data you provide.

License to Us

By using our service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service. This includes:

  • Storing your CVs in our database
  • Processing content through AI services for features you request
  • Generating PDF exports

We will never sell your content or use it for purposes other than providing the service.

6. AI Features

Our AI-powered features (translation, enhancement, suggestions) use third-party AI services (OpenAI). By using these features:

  • You consent to your content being processed by these AI services
  • You understand AI-generated content may require review and editing
  • You remain responsible for the accuracy of your final CV content

7. Service Limitations

Free Tier

  • 10 AI operations per month
  • Additional limitations may apply

Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability.

8. Organizations

If you create or join an organization:

  • Organization owners are responsible for managing member access
  • Organization admins can view and edit CVs within the organization
  • Activity within organizations is logged for audit purposes
  • Leaving an organization removes your access to organization resources

9. Intellectual Property

The CV Service platform, including its design, features, and branding, is owned by Bhan AS (org.nr. 936 333 982), a company registered in Norway. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of our platform without permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES.

AI-generated content is provided for assistance only. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying the accuracy of all content in your CVs.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

We are not responsible for:

  • Job application outcomes based on CVs created with our service
  • Errors in AI-generated translations or content
  • Data loss due to circumstances beyond our control

12. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the service will be revoked
  • Your data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the service. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway.
